As each live job passes through the different stages in its completion, you can record its
progress. This can be accessed from the preview pane of the main menu (when you have
selected a job), or if the job is open, by clicking on in the header
tab of the job desktop. It will also be presented in shop floor data capture as the operator completes a task - i.e. so he
can record that a stage is now complete and the job has moved to a new status.
Each component part (marked A, B etc) has its own status slider, and the status of the whole job
(shown in the left hand column) is automatically set equal to the status of the part that is least
advanced. So even if part A is in 'finishing', if part B is still at 'proof approval' then the job as a
whole will be said to be also at proof approval.
You can define the different statuses in the Status codes panel of Settings in the Utilities
menu
(got by clicking the ot the bottom left hand side of the main screen).
