This tab is only visible if the job is confirmed. It is a representation of the time-line of your job (a
Gantt chart).
When you first confirm a job, you are asked for the required date. At that time, Printpak
automatically divides the time available between the different job production statuses that you
have set up in system configuration. After confirming, you can adjust the schedule to suit the job.
The start and stop times will correspond to the data shown in ''Target dating' - one of the
programs available from the main menu when you have selected a confirmed job.
You can overlap tasks in the chart, but you should avoid changing their basic implied order. As
different statuses are reached in the progress of the job, the shading on the task blocks will
change colour as per the legend at the bottom of the window.
The controls are easy to use and are as follows:
To expand or contract the scale from days to hours and minutes or vice versa, left click on the
middle of the white space between the arrows at the top of the timeline. Then holding
your mouse button down, drag to the right to expand the scale or to the left to contract the scale.
To expand or contract the timeline vertically - i.e. so that you can see thicker lines on the
gantt chart and read what is on them, hover the mouse on the horizontal line under the job part
on the left of the tab. The cursor should change to a double headed arrow over the horizontal
line, similar to :
You can then left click and drag that line up and down, and the timeline will expand or contract
vertically.
To move a block in the gantt chart click in the middle of the block and drag it. It's OK to overlap
it with another block - e.g. you can start finishing and packing even while printing is still in
progress.
To expand or contract a block in the gantt chart, hover the mouse on either end of the block,
and the cursor should change to ?. At that point you should be able to left-click
and drag the
end of the block to the required length.
