If you are using a digital press, the press screen looks like this:
Most of the fields shown are identical in effect to those in the Litho press calculation pane.
Those that are different are:
Copy size:- This is the name of the column in the definition screen for this digital press which
you set up in Resources. It will be the size of copy chosen by the calculation. If you are in
manual mode you can change this from a drop down list of all the sizes for this press..
Copy type:- In the example above it says "single sided colour". Possible values here are:
· Single sided black
· Single sided colour
· Double sided black
· Double sided black/colour
· Double sided colour
This will be the name of the copy type for this pass which the calculation has chosen as most
appropriate for this job. If you are in manual mode, you can override this yourself from a drop-down list.
Copies:- This is the quantity of this type of copy required. Again if you are in manual mode you
can override this.
Copy price:- The cost per 1000 for this type of copy from the digital press record. You can
always adjust this figure, but if your digital press record is properly set up you should be aware
that the default figure given is the true cost, and any adjustments you make for marketing
reasons will mean your final profit is misleading.
Total cost:- The overall cost for this digital press.
Total hours: - The time taken on the press for this job.
