A controlled stock is an item for which movements (i.e. orders, issues, receipts etc) are recorded
in order to manage them efficiently. They are divided into paper, ink, and 'other' stocks.
Selecting Controlled Stocks on the stock section of the main menu will bring a list of controlled
items.
In the preview panel on the right hand side or underneath, depending on how you have your
screen laid out, you will see:
The top line contains the links to the individual movements you can apply to a chosen controlled
stock item.
The other line controls what is seen in the 'preview' pane. Apart from the preview itself, Live jobs
shows the live jobs for which this item is being used, Orders lists the orders currently outstanding
for the item, and Reservations shows the quantities still reserved for jobs.
Double clicking an item will open it for editing.
